MoPop!

Updated: Feb 8, 2021

If there's one thing I could never live without, it's most definitely live music. That's why every year I count down the days till MoPop, right here in downtown Detroit. This is my 3rd year attending the riverfront music festival, and let me tell you, each year tops the next. Not only does the music keep getting better, but the amount of people attending keeps growing making for a very lively atmosphere. This year I recruited some first timers to experience the greatness that is MoPop.... here are their first impressions:

"The vibe was awesome and everyone was there to have a good time with good music. 10/10 would go again!"

- Liv Tu

"The sunshine, incredible musicians, and great friends at MoPop created memories that will last forever! I hope my next music festival experience will be just as wonderful as MoPop was!"

- Marisa Drinkwater

"FRICKEN LIT"

- Cassidy Dawson

"It was a blast! Definitely died like 3 times in the mosh pit and came back to life! But not like I wouldn't do it again, 10/10 would recommend."

- Leya Chambo

Unlike larger music festivals, MoPop has a cozy feel to it. With only two stages within less than a square mile of space, everything is super accessible and safe. MoPop is one of those things you just have to experience for yourself. There are no amount of words that could express the heart thumping music, delicious food trucks, dancing people, and wonderful memories made on the river front. So mark your calendars for next July and experience for yourself one of the best (in my opinion) music festivals in Michigan!

Below are our day 1 outfits we danced all day in! (Unfortunately I did not get individual photos of our day 2 attire but there are some group pictures in there from that day.) When dressing for a music festival it's all about what makes you feel good, and which outfit you can dance your heart out best in. Please make note you are going for the music, not just the fashion!!! When-in-doubt wear a simple tank and shorts and douse yourself in glitter (glitter fixes everything).
