I cannot wait to share an in depth life update blog at the end of this week highlighting my move to New York, and more importantly, my first New York Fashion Week!
Since graduating in May, I moved to New York City and have been living in Manhattan for a little over 3 months. This summer has been a whirlwind of new experiences, working in the fashion industry, meeting new friends, trying new restaurants, and exploring life post-grad. I plan to stay in New York for the foreseeable future and am so excited for this heat to subside and fall to take over.
It is HOT in the city! I have truly never been more ready to stop sweating and welcome the cool breeze and new trends fall has to offer. On the topic of trends, the biker boot will be your new staple shoe for the upcoming autumn months. The cowboy boot has been in the spotlight for quite a while and I don't see that changing as we approach cooler weather. However, if you're in the mood to switch it up and maybe add an edgier component to your every day look the biker boot is for you.
Recently I have been loving the content of The Curated Journal on Tik Tok. This page has been trend forecasting for fall and I'm obsessed. A leather biker boot is easy to pair with your existing wardrobe. This staple shoe adds a little something something to a variety of short skirts, long jorts, flowy skirts, and even *gasp* a skinny jean. These boots are not only trendy, but surprisingly practical. Little to no heel, warm, water resistant, incredibly versatile - what's not to love!
(Personally I will be looking into purchasing the H&M boots featured below.)
